What about sea-sickness? Well, to start with, in the cruise business, we prefer to call it, "Motion Discomfort" 'cause somehow that doesn't sound so bad. If you are prone to motion discomfort, that is, if you start to feel ill when you ride in a car or on an airplane, then you should address this issue before your cruise. See your doctor for some motion discomfort pills or a patch you can wear behind your ear. Sea-Bands that you wear on your wrists help some people, and you can pick up some generic ones at Wal-Mart for about $4.99 a pair. If you are prone to motion discomfort, having an ocean-view stateroom will help you, so you can look out at the horizon. If you start to not feel well, go out on deck so you can get some fresh air, and look out at the horizon. If that does not help, go see the ship's doctor.
