What airline does the cruise line use? The cruise lines assign the air for your cruise about 30 days before the cruise, and they use major airlines. Your travel agent can find out what airline you will be on, and get your air itinerary for you after the cruise line assigns the air. Your cruise tickets should arrive at your travel agent's office about two weeks before your cruise, and, your air tickets will be with your other cruise documents. You are welcome to arrange for your own air, but it becomes your responsibility to get to the ship on time. When comparing prices, remember that when you get your air from the cruise line, not only are round trip transfers included, but the cruise line will know where you are, and if necessary they will sometimes hold the ship for you, if your flight is delayed.
